One of the busiest factories of today
is the textile factories no matter where ever they are located. The
fashion industry has taken over our lives by storm and the demand of new
clothes has not only doubled, but it has multiplied. Textile industry
cannot survive without two basic necessities, one is water and the other
is gas. The use of water begins right from the start when cotton is
brought in to be spun and made into threads. Later on, the threads are
then weaved into a cloth which becomes ready to be sent to the textile
factories.
The process of carving out an eye catching apparel
begins by coloring the cloth. Since cotton is white, so the initial
color of the cloth is white as well. It is sent in to the dyeing factory
where experts decide the combination of different colors to bring out
the desired color. The cloth bundles are weighed on a heavy duty scale,
the weight determines the amount of water needed to have it completely
dipped inside. Then with the help of a
liquid level indicator,
the right amount of water is poured into the powerfully built dyer.
Then by measuring the quantity of the color powders, it is added into
the dyer which keeps spinning the cloth inside for a certain period of
time. The time required to spin depends upon the weight and type of the
cloth.
After the spinning is completed, the cloth is then passed
through rollers which squeeze the water from it and then passed through a
high temperature. The remaining water is dried in the form of steam due
to the high temperature and this solidifies the color on the cloth. The
finalized cloth is again packed in the form of bundles and sent to the
cutting unit. The cutting unit cuts the cloth in the required designs
and passes it on to the stitching department which sews everything
together and is sent for a steam press.
A purposefully built boiler creates a special level of steam measuring every level by the
ultrasonic level indicator.
Lower level will not bring in the required effect and there would be
creases left on the apparel. Higher level of steam would inflict burn
marks causing the color to fade or the cloth to burn. So it is essential
to keep the level of the steam to a perfect point. After the apparel
has been steam pressed it is passed to the packing department and then
shipped to the stores. This is how we enjoy purchasing the best looking
suits whenever we want to.
