Water has the highest density than
anything else present on this planet. This is proven by the ships that
are made with tons of steel and they also carry tons of weight on their
decks and in their cargo holds. Ships are now a hundred times bigger and
made of more solid steel than ever before. It is understood that as the
size and body of the ship is increased, the weight has also increased
which on the contrary has made a ship more stable. Ships are not only
being used to transport goods and merchandise from one country to
another, they are also a huge part of the army, better known as the
navy.
Another great carrier used in the navy by the armies is the
submarine which is a class above every technology designed by humans
today. The unsinkable submarine can only sink when it is commanded to do
so. As it attacks from under the water, it sinks to the depths and
analyzes the surface hitting the unsuspecting targets from below. The
mechanism installed in it to gain a density more than water is the only
thing that allows it to go below the surface and still be in working
condition.
A submarine has special hatches all around its body
which suck in water to gain density and go beneath the surface of water.
When it needs to rise, the hatches again open and pump out the water
that has been sucked in, as a result it becomes less dense and starts
rising to the surface. Controlling the presence of water in the
submarine’s hatches is a task for the
liquid level indicator
installed in it. With the help of the indicator, the crew, or the
captain decides when the level is perfect and they can keep sailing
without being seen.
Since most of the ordinary liquid level
indicators can crack or break when under a huge water pressure, they can
give false readings and the submarine could end up in an accident. If
the accident occurs under water there would be no way to save the crew.
That is why to keep the functions unharmed by the pressure of water that
mounts up massively when under water; the
ultrasonic level indicator
is fitted in the modern machines. Its ability to measure digitally and
the power to withstand the pressure make it the best fit for a machine
of this type.
