The manufacturing industry of today is
being stressed to bring out quality products but without raising the
prices for their products. For better quality in products, it is
necessary to have better quality raw material and better quality raw
material means the cost price is deemed to rise. But when the price is
raised, the product becomes second best because the customers can only
afford to buy within a limit. The best option to cover this factor is to
minimize the wastage of raw materials during the manufacturing process.
By utilizing all that has been purchased, the factory owners can raise
their prices only a little to cover the extra expense on the raw
materials.
Since liquids are now a necessary ingredient in the manufacturing, monitoring their flow with an
ultrasonic liquid level indicator
would help in minimizing the wastage. The production is planned to
proceed with a target. Based on the demand that is to be fulfilled, the
daily production target is decided by the higher authorities. Every
production unit is given a target to meet according to the production
lines that are being run within the unit. Since production lines need
raw materials to work, the amount is allocated according to the targets
set for them. It is the duty of the store department to ensure
availability of the raw materials according to the quota given to the
production lines.
For effective and unbroken production, the raw
materials are procured and handed over to the store department in bulk
quantity. It is the responsibility of the store department to store them
in safe areas that are under their authority. The dry materials can be
stacked to save space and the liquids are stored in huge storage tanks
from where the smaller pipes are used to supply the lines with the
liquids. Since every production line is given a limited quota, it is
necessary to keep a check and balance on the usage. To keep a better
check on the liquid supply, smaller tanks are attached which are being
filled by the main tank from behind. The amount of liquid is monitored
with a
liquid level indicator
and according to the readings on it; the tank is filled to the allowed
limit and is then made available for the production lines. This
procedure has helped massively to reduce liquid wastage and keep the
production costs low and affordable from start till end.
