Storing huge amounts of liquids
without proper knowledge can be a disaster in disguise. We all know that
the storing of huge amounts of liquids has become a normal fact in the
factories today. Storing in advance helps the factory’s management to
plan production targets and achieve them. But some factories where
production targets are too high and they have enough capacity to meet
them, the storage of liquids and other materials is extraordinarily
high. Some factories on this planet are known to have huge storage tanks
enough to supply an entire city with water. The rise in the demand of
products has made it evident that factories are expanding their storage
units rapidly.
The massive storage tanks provide the necessary
amount of liquids needed in the production lines, but provisioning them
without break is impossible without having proper knowledge of the
remaining liquids. If the tanks run dry at once the entire production
system would crash. The backlog would be so huge it would become
impossible to eliminate it even with massive overtimes. Prevention is
better than cure, which is why; to prevent any situation like this the
factories use the handy
ultrasonic level indicator.
This portable device not only manages to provide accurate liquid levels
in the small tanks, but it also enables the staff to measure the
massive tanks accurately.
For better control over the flow of
liquids and managing their stock, factories have devised a workable
formula. They have created smaller tanks in between the production lines
and the main storage tanks. The smaller tanks make it easy to measure
the flow of liquid and they can learn about how much liquid is being
used by a specific production line. Since the liquids are to be supplied
in accordance with the production target, giving access to the main
tank would not prevent excessive wastage and could harm other production
line’s targets. So, to manage the righteous supply of the liquids, each
production line has been provided a smaller tank which is filled to the
required level.
These small tanks are fitted with a non removable
liquid level indicator.
The indicator shows real time liquid levels and the line supervisor can
learn about the liquid level and tally his production. Matching the two
records the supervisor can learn if his line has wasted any of the
allotted liquids. This enables him to keep track of his production
target and the amount of liquid available to his line for production.
This system is widely used in the factories where liquids are massively
used in producing the products.
