One of the biggest industries active today is the textile industry as we have discussed so many times. Growing even greater than it is its branch which is the dyeing and coloring industry because the trends are changing quickly and one can easily notice that there are garments which are in colors that were never seen before. The oddest colors are now in style and are seen as trendy and cool. Men are wearing pink and orange while the ladies are wearing combinations of a variety of colors. This is all due to the expansion of the fashion industry which in reality is kept alive by the dyeing units making it possible to come up with any color desired.
Hence the dyeing industry is active as ever and is also busier than ever. Now let’s take a sneak peek into the dyeing unit and see how they manage to do the magic. It all starts with a sample being handed to the dyeing manager. In most cases the sample is designed on a PC if the color never existed in reality and some company wants to create a new one to capture the market with it. Since the colors on a screen are greatly different as in reality; but it is the task of the dyeing manger or the color master to make it a reality. Samples are started to be created in small amounts usually in cups and then trays. When the required color comes in cups and trays, finally the sample is tested in a bigger amount and using the
ultrasonic level indicator to measure the exact amount of water in the gigantic mixer, the raw colors are added.
When the test becomes ok, the cloth which is received to be dyed is weighed on a scale and the thickness is also determined. It helps to determine how much water needs to added in the mixer and according to the water the raw colors are also determined. Finally the water is added in the mixer and a close eye is kept on the
liquid level indicator so that the level is exactly as required. Variation of the water level can greatly affect the color on the cloth. Now when the raw colors are added the mixer is turned on and as the color sets in, the cloth is lowered in the mixer and the motors are turned on. Now the cloth has been dyed and is sent for drying and then forwarded to the client for approval.
