The clothes industry also known as the
apparel industry is one of the most in demand these days. As the
fashion industry is thriving with new designs and new colors are being
added to the fashionable clothes, the apparel industry is getting
pressurized by the buyers to produce more massively to meet the demands
of all the customers who are thronging the shops to get the clothes of
their choice. The textile factories are now in full swing and the most
crucial thing they are facing is managing the dyeing procedure to bring
out the desired color in the cloths and the threads as well.
The
dyeing procedure although is automated but is not so automatic still.
The ingredients have to be added by a human but the mixing and the
spinning tasks are performed by the machines automatically. The
procedure begins by measuring the water with the
liquid level indicator as it is poured into the huge mixer. The entire process can be broken down in the following steps:
- The dyeing process begins by measuring the weight of the cloth received to be colored as per demand.
- After
the weight of the cloth has been noted, the amount of water needed for
it to be completely dipped in is measured and added into the mixer.
- Then
comes in the color master who adds the different colors which are in
powdered form. A bit of this and a bit of that creates the magical
effect and brings out the desired color in the water.
- After the
water takes the color which was intended, the mixer is turned on which
completely dilutes the pigments to form one solid color.
- Now the huge roll of cloth is unfolded and dipped in the water containing the mixture of pigments.
These
are the initial steps performed to bring about the color in the cloth
which is then dried and sent to the cutting department. Here the entire
cloth is cut according to the patterns and then sent to the stitching
department where these cut pieces are sewn together to bring out the
desired form of the apparel.
In some modern factories, the dyeing process is more automatic and they use the
ultrasonic level indicator
for measuring water. With the ultrasonic device the measurement is
absolutely accurate which helps in reducing waste and managing the
department to produce the accurate color in one attempt. As the factory
manages to create the required color in a single attempt, the production
cost is not raised hence the customer who buys it from a shop can get
it at an affordable price.
