Measuring liquids is becoming a huge
issue in factories these days. The highly increased demand of liquids
has forced the management to install giant sized liquid storage tanks in
the facility. These giant sized tanks can store enough liquid supply to
last a year, but as the demand increases every month, more and more is
needed to be brought in the facility. The high amount of liquids creates
a problem because they cannot be kept in places where people are
around. Most of the liquids are highly toxic and corrosive which means
if a person touches them he can be harmed very dangerously.
Storing
the liquids is a problem and a greater problem is keeping a record of
these liquids. It is necessary to have complete knowledge of the liquids
inside the storage tanks so that the production targets could be made
out. The
ultrasonic level indicator
is used to measure the liquids inside the storage tanks. As the

upon the wall of the container, it transmits an ultrasonic wave that
travels from one end of the container to the other. As soon as it
touches the surface of the liquid the wave is bounced back to the
transducer which receives it as it comes back towards it. The wave that
is received back is detected by the device which quickly calculates the
time and distance travelled by the wave to give out the liquid level in
the storage tank. the entire process takes place within the blink of an
eye.
