While fighting competition, lowering
production costs and building quality products tops the lists of things
to keep in mind for every manufacturer, the need for more sophisticated
manufacturing tools rises unpredictably. Without using proper tools for
manufacturing, the products wouldn’t be of the highest quality which is
needed today. The engineers at the manufacturing units take extreme
measures to device a method which would increase the quality of the
product without increasing the price. Hence the only effective way found
yet is to bring down the wastage to extreme zero.
The first step
that allows the reduction of waste of materials is by measuring the raw
materials as they arrive. Liquids of different kinds are procured and
measured by the
liquid level indicator which is fitted to the tank in which the liquids are poured in. The biggest users of a variety of liquids are as below:
- Food and beverage industry
- Edible oil industry
- Petroleum industry
- Power generation plants
- Textile industry
- Automobile industry
- Hospitals
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Maritime industry and many more
These
are just some of the industries where a variety of liquids are used as
they are used in the different phases of the manufacturing. Let’s take
the example of a textile industry where dyeing of the cloths is one of
the biggest process. A huge amount of water is added to the mixer and
the pigments are added to bring out the required color in the cloth. Now
let’s see how the different kinds of liquids are being used in the food
industry. Different kinds of food colors are added to bring out the
alluring colors in the cakes, pastries and other bakery items. The soda
pops have food colors added to bring out the colors in their appearance.
In
some of the more complex industries such as the power generation
plants, the liquids are extremely toxic and they are hazardous to a very
high level. These liquids are kept in controlled storage tanks mostly
the single skinned containers. These toxic liquids are measured by the
ultrasonic level indicator
because most of the other liquid measuring devices fail to work with
them. as they are highly toxic and corrosive, the devices that come in
contact with them break or dissolve which leaves the ultrasonic as the
best option to measure the toxic liquids without the fear of harming the
device or the person who is taking the measurements.
