For ensuring the smooth and flawless industrial operations and performance liquid level indicators are used. Due to their ability to monitor, they ensure the control over the level of liquids in gigantic containers, repositories, and pipelines in various industrial plants.

It is often not possible and safe to measure the liquid level in the giant containers or vessels or to take a view of the interior of the huge sized tanks or repositories; therefore liquid level indicators are used.  There are two different methods to measure the liquid level indicators point level measurement and continuous level measurement. Besides, ultrasonic level indicators are also used to check any type of leakages or cracks in the hatch covers of ships and cargo's. They ensure safety of not only the ship and goods but also the safety of the ship crew on board.
• In fire extinguisher department: for carrying out the functions of the fire extinguisher department, liquid level indicators are vital gadgets. The cylinders used by the fire extinguisher department contain cooling agents which extinguish the fire. The function of the liquid level indicators is to maintain the standard quality of the cooling agents in the cylinders so that they properly work in case of any emergency situation.
• For keeping check on water reservoirs: it is important to keep a constant and continuous check over the water reservoirs for their smart and intelligent usage for different functions. The detection of the water level in huge water reservoirs such as dams is done through liquid level indicators. They control the water level which is utilized for creating electricity or for supplying water to the rural areas or for any other purpose.
