The most widely used gas in the
processing industries is the nitrogen gas and carbon dioxide gas. The
nitrogen gas is used for cooling purposes because of its ability to
remain coldest even when the temperature is hot. It is used to cool down
huge generators where water and other liquids fail to do the task.
Since these gases are transported in the liquid form as transporting in
gaseous state is not possible. The extremely low temperature of the
nitrogen gas keeps it in the liquid state which is very convenient and
it can be installed directly in the right tanks.
The filling process is very sensitive because it can freeze the pipes from where it passes. Without using the
liquid level indicator
it can never be measured. And as this is not normal liquid or water,
over filling can cause havoc and the pipes or the tank can burst
immediately like a small nitrogen bomb. Nitrogen is widely used in the
cooling process of chillers, huge generators, power grids and nuclear
power stations. As these places can get extremely heated, using water as
the only coolant would not do the trick efficiently and the machines
would get heated to an extremely high temperature causing the machines
to seize.
The soft drinks industry has one magic ingredient which
causes the pop sound when the bottle is opened. This magic ingredient
is none other than the CO2 (carbon dioxide) gas. The gas is filled in
the bottles along with the drink. It is widely believed that the gas is
filled after the liquid has been filled in the bottles, but today using
modern techniques this process has been merged to reduce a processing
step. By mixing the ingredients that produce gas during the
manufacturing process, it gives a boost to the flavor and also eases the
staff by elimination of an extra step.
When the gas is being produced it needs to be monitored by the
ultrasonic level indicator
which lets the staff know if there is anything to worry about or not.
When the gas is being produced the liquid starts creating bubbles and
the thick layer of foam appears in the container. The gas is allowed to
be released through controlled chimneys until the required pressure
remains. Then the huge mixers are put to work and everything mixes
finely. After the process has been dine, the liquid is filled in the
bottles which are then transported to the shop from where people
purchase them and enjoy the tasty drinks.
