The biggest breakthrough in bringing
down the prices of quality products has been a result of bringing down
the production costs. Bringing down the production costs has not been an
easy task as the manufacturers have been trying many different tactics
to control the production cost, the only effective method which can be
termed as a long term and effective one is keeping the supply of
materials controlled and reducing waste as much as possible. The biggest
element in increasing the process of a product during the production
process is the uncontrolled wastage.
As the workers kept on
wasting the materials by using them unnecessarily, the manufacturers had
to pay a lot to their suppliers and eventually to justify their
profits; they had to sell the products at higher costs. As competition
has grown to a higher level than before now, it is important to keep the
prices of the products within a range that allows people to pick your
products against the competitors. Controlling the use of materials
during the manufacturing process has upgraded the measuring process of
materials when handing out to the production staff. The dry materials
are weighed and packed according to the requirements, and the liquids
are measured through the
ultrasonic level indicator as they are passed on to the pipes leading towards the production lines.
Controlling
the liquid flow to the production lines has become a very important
issue. Since we need to make water waste to absolutely zero in the
production lines, the other liquids also used in the process of
manufacturing need to be controlled also. Raw materials are no longer
cheap as they used to be in the past. Since the inception of many hugely
built factories, the demand of raw materials has doubled and the prices
of these raw materials have shot up. It is not cheap to procure raw
materials especially the liquids such as oils and petroleum products
which are used as part of ingredients and for lubricating as well.
Even the procuring of the liquids is monitored on the
liquid level indicator
fitted with every storage tank. As the liquids are poured into these
tanks, the level is noted on the indicators and a record is built up
against the supply. It helps the management and staff to distribute the
materials and liquids to the production lines according to the needs of
their targets. It helps them to monitor and supervise every line and
assess their performance as well. In case a line demands for excessive
materials or liquids, the reasons can be sought and the factors can be
removed to ensure that in future there would be no extra demands due to
wastage.
