Protect Your Ships with Marine CO2 Systems
Even the biggest tree succumbs to the smallest spark that starts feeding on it. A small spark ignites the biggest flame that burns an entire forest. Hence buildings, ships and houses seem like a lonely straw in front of fire that has gathered too much strength. A ship, especially a transport ship is one of the biggest vehicles to roam the face of this planet. We all know that a vehicle of such massive size is not affordable by the common man. It costs millions of hard earned dollars to purchase one transport ship and you don’t want it to go down in flames.

As you hire guards and security personnel to keep away unwanted people from entering your ship, you also need to make proper arrangement to keep off unwanted fire from generating on it. The worst enemy of fire is CO2 or carbon dioxide as referred to in simple English. Hence the CO2 & marine CO2 systems are the best solution to protect the ship from unwanted fire. There are numerous reasons for a flame to be ignited on a ship. Loose wires, faulty wires, leaving the stove unattended, toxic fumes emerging from the cargo holds and coming in contact with fire or anything else can be possible. You can’t predict why there would be a fire raging on your deck and chambers.

Carbon dioxide is available in liquid and gaseous form from the vendors and it is up to the choice of the purchaser to procure the form he needs. Be it liquid or gaseous form, it is supplied in single skinned containers to ensure there are no leaks and no tampering during the supply. The same cylinders are attached to the CO2 & marine CO2 systems that will be functioning to protect the ship from fire in case an alarm is raised. The systems would be turned on automatically and the gas will be released upon the flames cutting their oxygen supply. As the oxygen becomes inaccessible, the flames would be dead in an instant.

Since the CO2 is inside single skinned containers, it is obvious that they need to be measured by the ultrasonic liquid level indicator. It is the only device that reads gas levels inside containers without touching the gas physically. The gas level will be sensed and displayed on the LCD screen of the device enabling the operator to understand the level of the gas inside the cylinder he is measuring.
