A production facility, no matter how big or small is submitted to the resources it has. Unless the manufacturing unit has enough supplies to make full use of their workforce, having a huge setup would be a waste when most of the workers and machines are idle. Even the smallest production unit would make more profits than a huge one if it manages to produce up to the target on a daily basis. Hence without having adequate amount of raw materials and resources, no production facility can be a profitable business.

Factories, as these manufacturing units are so commonly called, have some of the largest storage spaces now which are a record if compared with the past. They now hold special storing units for the dry materials and liquid storage tanks fitted with a liquid level indicator from which they measure the level of liquids in it. Since the use of different types of liquids on a large scale has become necessary in the factories, it is important to have them available in huge quantities at all times. Failing to have the huge quantity would result in a terrible production loss because if any of the necessary raw materials go missing, the work stops at the point where it needs to be used and cannot progress until a new stock becomes available.

To manage the stock of the raw materials, factory management has devised a system. The storage staff is required to maintain the amount of raw materials that are procured. They are handed a quantity quota for every production line and the smaller units within. The stores staff is restricted to not give even a drop more than the prescribed quota and in case some production line or unit demands extra, they have to apply for the extra amount of raw materials through proper channel which involves the senior management to inquire in the matter why they need it and then approve after mentioning the reason.

To ensure that the liquids are rightly distributed and the level of liquids inside the containers is always on record, the ultrasonic level indicator is used. The device provides pinpoint accuracy about the level of liquids inside the main storage tanks and even the smaller tanks which are used to allocate the quota. Using the exact measurement of the liquids, the store staff can maintain accurate distribution throughout the production facility and keep the work running flawlessly. This also enables the production lines to complete their daily targets and meet the deadline easily in the end.
