It Hardly Takes a Couple of Minutes
The transport industry relies heavily on the automobiles and the ships for the road transport and the sea transport respectively. Since it cannot exist without machines, it is a must that these machines should be of superior quality and should always be in their best condition. The biggest damage that happens to these automobile and ships are the leaks and holes caused by the denting and scraping on the body and the hatch covers. Due to their nature of work, they have to be loaded and unloaded with the heavy chains and cranes because the bulky carriage cannot be lifted by a human.

During the loading and unloading process, the bulky cargo often bumps with the body causing the body to break and dent. These collisions harms to the body of the trucks and ship’s cargo hold which start catching rust. As time passes the rust starts spreading and soon there becomes a hole where there was once a strong metal sheet. To keep the transport machines safe and free from rust, it is necessary to check tightness of hatch with ultrasound from time to time. Since the testing does not take much time and it also does not cost a dime to run a test, it can be done every week or as soon as a vehicle returns from a journey.

The procedure to test with the ultrasonic device is very simple. All you have to do is, take out all the components from the box. Assemble the receiver to the device and if you need to keep a distance, you can use the extension rod which comes with the kit. It is recommended to use new batteries always when conducting a test for the best results. You can use rechargeable batteries so that you will not have to purchase the batteries each time you need to conduct a test.

Turn on the small generator and place it inside the cargo hold. Close all the doors and the hatch covers and then put on the headphones. Scan every inch of the hatch covers and the body around them. If you do not hear any sound on the headphones, it means there are no leaks and holes. And if you do hear a sound, mark the area and call in the repairmen. Your hatch cover ultrasonic tightness testing is complete and it hardly took a couple of minutes to verify if there is anything troubling your money making vehicles.
