Ignoring Leak Tests Is Like Calling for a Calamity on You
Some of the biggest money minting industries include the shipping and transport industry. This worldwide spread industry is busy round the clock in transporting goods from one country to another and there is hardly ever a break in it. The world witnesses some of the largest man made ships which are powerful and huge enough to carry the load enough to fill an entire city in one trip. One round of a transport ship can bring in millions of dollars and the amount is only increasing. However this huge and profitable industry faces threat which is none other than rust.

Rusting of a ship has brought in more losses than anything else that ever happened to this industry and there is no stopping to this malicious threat which spreads on a ship like uncontrolled virus. If you ever think that it is ok to postpone cable transit areas watertight testing then you are terribly mistaken because some of the biggest ships have blown up in smoke on the surface of water simply because of a short circuit. As the ship has to face the highest humidity levels on this planet, a leak in the cable transit areas can result in the most fatal short circuit ever known to man. The humidity easily creates a medium for the electricity to jump from one cable to another and this creates the spark which should never have been created.

In some cases the spark did not manage to blow the ship entirely but created a small blast or burnt the entire wiring of the ship causing it to stand like a huge mass floating in the middle of nowhere. When a ship faces an electric short circuit the only way to make it move again is by making the engines run again by installing the net of wires which is easily a task requiring months of toil, or the other option is hire a tow ship and reach the nearest port. In both the cases, the damage on the shipping company’s cash register is beyond a normal person’s imagination and the company suffers a huge loss which could set it back a long way.

Furthermore the watertight compartment doors testing have also become a crucial test for the shipping company to run on time. Leaking compartment doors means that there is enough room for humidity to come inside the ship and spread rust on the inside of the ship. Another harsh reality of the leaking doors is the rain water entering inside the ship during sea storm. Water inside the ship not only increases the risk of electric failure, but it also increases the weight on the ship which is already carrying the maximum load it could carry. The added weight could cause the ship to turn turtle when hit by a massive wave, or it could simply sink like a rock.
